I bought my 4 Runner from a female friend who banged it up and drove it until the exhaust was hanging off. Price paid: $100. I drove it home that night. I've since put an alternator and a new exhaust on.
The interior was trashed. The whole car smells like a dog's butt with pet hair everywhere AND the previous owner was a smoker. I took out all the carpets and replaced them with rubber mats and I have to do SOMETHING with the seats. They reek.
Every panel has a dent so I cut away the worst of it and I'm looking for rear quarter repair panels at my local salvage yard. I'm in this rig $600 so far, it drives great but looks like hell.
I got my Previa from a friend who was gonna trade it in on a new Volvo. They only offered her $300 for it. Fortunately, she told me about it before the deal could go through. She sold it to me for $500 cash instead of trading it in. Those jerks upped their trade in value to $400 after she called to say she was keeping the Previa. She was mad that they didn't offer her $400 for it in the first place! Their loss, my gain.
It has the 4cyl, dual sunroofs and captains chairs all around. My wife drives it mostly but its a great hauling rig. I moved carpet, siding and furniture in that thing.
Why isnt there a Previa lovers section on this site?
