2005 Toyota Models

2005 Toyota Avalon
Four trim levels are available: XL, Touring, XLS and Limited. Although it's the base version, the XL still offers such amenities as a cabin air filter, a nine-speaker stereo, automatic climate control, a tilt/telescoping wheel, a power seat and 16-inch alloy wheels. The Touring model is noticeably sportier with a firmer suspension, unique 17-inch wheels, leather seats and aluminum interior trim. The XLS and Limited are more upscale; the XLS adds a power moonroof and a six-disc CD changer. The Limited includes such items as rain-sensing wipers, memory seats, wood trim, a power rear sunshade, a smart key system and a 12-speaker, 360-watt JBL stereo.
2005 Toyota Camry
Available trims include Standard, LE, SE and XLE. The entry-level Standard offers basics such as power locks and windows, cruise control and a CD player, but has limited option availability. The LE adds upgrades like keyless entry, a power driver seat and color-keyed exterior mirrors. The sporty SE is similarly equipped, but features different interior trim and upholstery, a sport-tuned suspension, 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, foglamps and a unique grille. Step up to the XLE, and you get automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, upgraded audio system and, on the XLE V6, leather seating. Various options include a sunroof, leather seating, heated front seats, a DVD-based navigation system and an in-dash six-disc CD changer.
2005 Toyota Camry Solara
The Camry Solara is available as a coupe or convertible. The coupe is offered in three trim levels -- SE, SE Sport and SLE -- while the convertible comes in SE and SLE versions only. The base SE coupe is well equipped with power windows, locks and mirrors; keyless entry; cruise control; satellite steering wheel audio controls; a six-speaker CD stereo; 16-inch wheels and tires; and a multifunction trip computer. The SE Sport adds a performance-oriented suspension, 17-inch wheel and tires, an exterior body kit, graphite-style interior trim, a unique gauge cluster and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob; most of this equipment is also included on the SE convertible along with a power cloth top. Top-of-the-line SLE coupes and convertibles add automatic climate control, wood-style trim, a power-adjustable driver seat, a moonroof, a JBL premium audio system with a six-disc CD changer and, on V6 models, leather seating.
2005 Toyota Celica
The front-drive Celica is a two-door hatchback with two available trim levels: GT and GT-S. Though the GT has an attractive price, its feature list is rather scant. You'll get the basics like air conditioning and a CD player, but power windows and locks, cruise control and a rear wiper are all optional. These features are standard on the GT-S, along with its higher-horsepower engine. The GT-S also has bigger brakes, alloy wheels, foglamps, a JBL sound system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and sport pedals. On either car, you can order upgraded 16-inch alloy wheels, high-intensity discharge headlamps, a sunroof, a rear wing, keyless entry and leather seats (GT-S only). An "Action Package" is also available on both models, and it adds numerous exterior body enhancements.
2005 Toyota Corolla
The five-passenger Corolla comes as a sedan only. Trim levels include the base CE, the better-equipped LE, the somewhat sporty S and the truly sporty XRS. Standard features in the CE include air conditioning, a CD player, power mirrors, an outside temperature gauge, 60/40-split-folding rear seats and 15-inch wheels. Go with the LE to gain fake-wood trim, Optitron gauges, a driver-seat height adjuster and remote keyless entry. The S model includes "sporty" trim such as body-color rocker panels and door handles, smoked headlights, foglights, special gauges and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The XRS adds a 170-horsepower engine, sport seats, four-wheel disc brakes, tire pressure monitors and cruise control.
2005 Toyota Echo
The Echo is available as a two-door coupe or a four-door sedan. Standard equipment is basic, including an AM/FM radio, a tilt steering wheel, dual manual outside mirrors and 14-inch steel wheels. For many of the features people take for granted these days, you'll have to go to the options list. Here, you'll find an all-weather package (including a heavy-duty battery and rear window defogger), antilock brakes, air conditioning, side airbags, a CD player and keyless entry. Power steering is an option, as are power windows, power mirrors, a tachometer and a split-folding rear seat. Even the clock is optional. If you're hoping to enhance the looks of the Echo, there are upgrade packages available that include sport body cladding; 15-inch wheels are a stand-alone option.
2005 Toyota Matrix
Three trim levels are available: base, XR and XRS. Base-level cars have the necessities such as air conditioning and a CD player, but most of the worthwhile features are optional. Go with the XR or XRS to get standard power locks and windows, keyless entry and a rear wiper. Other options include 16- or 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, an all-weather package, a DVD-based navigation system, a power moonroof and two different premium sound systems.
2005 Toyota MR2 Spyder
The MR2 Spyder comes in just one trim level that includes most of the features you're likely to want. Air conditioning, antilock brakes, power windows and door locks, a six-disc CD changer and a tilt steering wheel are all standard. An optional limited-slip differential makes this mighty mite all the more fun to fling through corners. Like most other convertibles, the MR2 has a glass rear window with a defroster. However, the rag top is a bit more cumbersome than those on the Honda S2000 or Mazda Miata, as it is necessary to get out of the car before putting it up or down.
2005 Toyota Prius
The Prius is available as a four-door hatchback only. There is only one well-appointed trim level. The standard features list includes power windows, locks and mirrors; automatic climate control; a tilt steering wheel with satellite audio and climate controls; a six-speaker CD stereo; cruise control; trip computer; and 15-inch aluminum wheels. Options like a DVD-based navigation system, Bluetooth hands-free phone technology and a nine-speaker JBL premium audio system with a six-disc CD changer are also available, along with an auto-dimming mirror and xenon headlights. The available Smart Key system allows you to lock/unlock the doors and start the car -- all with the key safely in your pocket or purse. The optional voice command system permits voice control of features ranging from temperature adjustment to Bluetooth cell phone dialing.
2005 Toyota 4-Runner
The four-door 4Runner comes in three distinct trim levels -- SR5, Sport and Limited. Standard features on the base SR5 include 16-inch wheels, fender flares and body cladding, automatic climate control with rear vents, a CD player, remote keyless entry, a telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, a trip computer, running boards and full skid plate protection. Stepping up to the Sport Edition adds larger 17-inch wheels, X-REAS shocks (used to help quell body roll in turns), a hood scoop, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with stereo and cruise controls, high-contrast seat fabrics and color-keyed exterior mirrors. High-dollar Limited models pick up illuminated running boards, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, rear-seat audio controls and an auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass. Options include a DVD-based navigation system and a third-row seat. The X-REAS shocks are optional for the Limited and come with a height-adjustable rear air suspension.
2005 Toyota Highlander
The four-door Highlander comes in two trims: base and Limited. The base models are decently equipped with items like 16-inch wheels; stability control; power windows, locks and mirrors; cruise control; air conditioning; keyless entry; and a CD player. Step up to the Limited and you'll gain automatic headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, heated outside mirrors, a windshield wiper de-icer, a power-adjustable driver seat, a fold-flat third-row seat, a premium sound system and HomeLink. On the Limited, you can also order leather seating, an in-dash CD changer, a rear DVD entertainment system and heated front seats.
2005 Toyota Land Cruiser
The full-size, eight-passenger Land Cruiser comes only one way -- loaded up. The highlights include four-wheel drive, leather seating, power-adjustable and heated front seats, a JBL audio system with an in-dash CD changer, a moonroof and separate automatic climate control systems for front and rear passengers. On the short factory options list, you'll find a roof rack and running board package, a DVD-based navigation system with rearview backup camera and a side and head curtain airbag package. A rear-seat DVD entertainment system is available from the dealer.
2005 Toyota Rav4
The four-door RAV4 is offered in a single trim level and comes with front-wheel drive (2WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). All RAV4s come with 16-inch wheels, ABS, stability control, air conditioning, a height-adjustable driver seat, cruise control, a six-speaker CD stereo and power windows, mirrors and locks. Upgrade to the "L" package and you'll also get heated mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, dark tinted glass, foglights and body-color bumpers and door handles. The "L" package is also your ticket to leather upholstery and heated seats if you want them. A sport package adds a mesh grille, a hood scoop, color-keyed door handles, a roof rack, silver sport pedals, heated mirrors, gray-painted bumpers and overfenders and sport fabric seats. Other options include alloy wheels, a sunroof and keyless entry. Larger tires are also available on AWD models.
2005 Toyota Sequoia
There are only two trim levels, base SR5 and Limited. The SR5 is well equipped with features like power windows, seats, mirrors and locks; a CD and cassette audio system; cruise control; 16-inch wheels and automatic climate control. Limited models come fully equipped with leather seating, a premium JBL audio system, power sunroof, a multifunction display, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated front seats, 17-inch alloy wheels and keyless entry. On both trucks, you can also get an in-dash six-disc CD changer, a rear-seat DVD-based entertainment system and an available rear load-leveling suspension. A sport package with tubular running boards, a skid plate, the load-leveling suspension and various other extras is available on the SR5, while Limited buyers can get a luxury package with second-row bucket seats, electroluminescent gauges, upgraded wood trim and seat memory.
2005 Toyota Sienna
The Sienna comes in four trim levels -- CE, LE, XLE and top-of-the-line XLE Limited; CE and LE seat seven or eight. LE, XLE and XLE Limited are eligible for all-wheel drive. The CE includes ABS, a rear air conditioner, CD player, telescoping steering wheel, dual-sliding doors with power windows and keyless entry. The LE adds driver lumbar, cruise control, heated power mirrors, privacy glass, a roof rack and a fold-flat front-passenger seat -- most of this is optional on the CE. The XLE includes alloy wheels, power-sliding doors, a power liftgate, auto headlamps, three-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, rear audio controls and a removable center console. The XLE Limited trim level gets larger 17-inch wheels, rear disc brakes, stability control, adaptive cruise control, a moonroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a CD changer, a park-assist system and rear window shades. All-wheel-drive models automatically receive 17-inch wheels, run-flat tires, stability control and upgraded brakes. An entertainment system is available to LE, XLE and XLE Limited buyers, and you can get a navigation system for the XLE and XLE Limited.
2005 Toyota Tacoma
The Tacoma comes in three body styles: Regular Cab, Access Cab (extended cab) and Double Cab (crew cab). Each is available with two-wheel or four-wheel drive. Toyota also offers Tacomas with a "PreRunner" designation. PreRunners are 2WD trucks that have the looks and heavy-duty suspension of 4WD models. Toyota also offers a special 2WD X-Runner access cab sport truck equipped with the V6, a six-speed manual transmission, a sport-tuned suspension and additional structural bracing underneath that gives the truck its name. Standard features on the regular cab include a CD player, a full-size spare tire and a tachometer. Access Cabs add bucket seats, air conditioning and a pair of rear access doors. On top of that, the Double Cab receives keyless entry and power windows, locks and mirrors. An optional SR5 package features color-keyed and chrome trim, intermittent wipers and upgraded interior trim. A JBL audio system with seven speakers is optional on Double Cabs. An available TRD Sport package includes performance suspension and upgraded tires, and a TRD Off-Road package features meaty white-lettered tires and heavy-duty off-road suspension.
2005 Toyota Tundra
The Toyota Tundra is available in regular, extended (Access Cab) and crew cab (Double Cab) versions. Regular cabs come only in long bed form, while Access and Double Cabs come only as short beds. Access Cabs have two "suicide" rear doors for easier rear-seat access, while Double Cabs feature four full-size doors and, thanks to their longer wheelbase, equal bed length. There are also three trim levels: base, SR5 and Limited. Available only on regular cabs, the base trim's amenities are limited to antilock brakes, 16-inch steel wheels, a cloth bench seat and a CD player. The SR5 adds body-color bumpers, a chrome grille and air conditioning; V8-equipped models also get cruise control. Available with a V8 only, the Limited offers alloy wheels, an in-dash CD changer and power windows, mirrors and locks. Compared to domestic full-size trucks, the Tundra's options list is short. The convenience package for SR5 models includes full power accessories, cruise, a sliding rear window and keyless entry. You can also get a towing package, a cold-weather package, an off-road package and a sport suspension package. On Limited trucks, there are optional leather-upholstered captain's chairs with a power driver seat. A DVD entertainment system is available for Double Cab models. For added style, Toyota also offers a stepside bed on V8-powered Access Cabs.
